Lent 2012: As One Cycle Ends, Another Begins

You did it!

You’ve completed The 40-Day Surrender Fast and so much has changed; God has made all things new. I, for one, am refreshed, renewed and my faith is stronger than it has ever been.

Likewise, the testimonies are rolling. Here’s a few:

“I had been molested by my dentist as a child. From that I developed an intense fear of dentist and did not go to one as an adult until recently. Thanks to The 40-Day Surrender Fast I am no longer ashamed of my past, and I am not fearful of dentist. In fact, I am going to the dentist this week to have them finalize repair on my long-neglected teeth. I praise God for freedom.” Sheila

“Today my daughter’s teacher phoned me to say that she has improved dramatically. She is turning in her assignments on time, getting better grades, and participating more in class. She had been having problems since PRE-K! She is now in middle school. It feels so good to hear the positive comments. God is a mighty good God!” Chartese

Also my 9-year-old nephew Ryan, the youngest faster to date, completed the fast. He surrendered video games and vowed to brush his teeth three times a day. After the first week he told his mom, “this fast really works, my teeth have never been this white.” He shared his praise report on the last Weekly Wrap-up call (712.772.7200, access code 438001, Ref #40).

So what now?

It starts all over again. Truthfully, I hadn’t planned to lead another 40 day structured fasting period until April but as God would have it we are doing it now starting February 27, 2012 to coincide with the Lenten Season.

Here are the details:

  1. Required Reading. The 40-Day Surrender Fast
  2. Pre-Fast Preparation. Complete before February 27
  3. Start Day 1. Monday, February 27
  4. Prayer Line. Mon. – Thurs – 7-7:15am (EST)
  5. Weekly Wrap-up Call. Every Friday – 12noon (EST)
  6. Weekly Blog.
  7. Webinar. Monday evenings – 7:00 – 8:30 pm (EST)

This time the morning teaching will come from my yet-to-be-published book: Destined to Succeed, 7-Steps for Fulfilling Your Destiny! Of course the Prayer Team is in place and ready to intercede on your behalf.

Again, I pray that you were abundantly blessed during the 40 days of surrender. I also hope that this is not a one-time event but the start of a lifestyle of surrender.

Please share with us your praise report at testimony@surrenderfast.com or in the space below.

With God all things are possible,
Dr. Celeste

    Dr. Celeste,

I am yet praising God for the things He has revealed to me. As I shared earlier, nothing seemed to be really happening toward dreams being fulfilled…until the 11th hour!! That was when God began to pour the vision into my spirit and I started to act upon it. There is a lot to it, but major pieces were completed by Saturday night. Then on Sunday, Pastor confirmed what God had placed in my spirit with the message “Moving Forward Requires Vision”!.

Thanks again and I am anticipating the Lenten Fast. Oh, yeah…this is day 43 and I haven’t turned the TV on YET!! CHANGED!! 🙂

    • Geneva, your testimony just gives me the chills. I, too, have been hearing the word “Vision” so you know that Pastor Jenkins’ message was right on time. And you still haven’t turned on the TV?! You are serious about the next phase and truly expecting the great. We’ll catch up soon.

I just came from bible study and I was kind of bummed because my pastor wasn’t there. However, one of the elders spoke on Jeremiah 33:3. “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” What a powerful scripture. It just goes to show you if you are open to receiving the word it doesn’t matter who it comes from. I’m so excited to get back in the word.

I’m looking forward to this fast the second time this year. God is speaking and I’m listening.

    • That is one of my favorite scriptures. God will show you things you do not know; He will give you wisdom and knowledge as you study His word. Round 2–I’m excited!

This fast has done sooooo much for me. I always knew my future would be brighter, but now, I can see it! Funny thing, nothing’s change right now, but yet I can see a brighter future. God told me to tell the church on this past Sunday, that there was a time that we would ask for things and we had to wait!!!! But on this year, 2012, (a year to remember, a year of miracles), God wants to see our faith. This year, we ask and we receive, according to our faith. Don’t be afraid to ask. Praise God! But, in order to get something out of it, you have to totally surrender to him, and what better way to do this than to join the 40 Day Surrender Fast !!!! By the way, I participated in the last one, and I intend on starting again on February 27th, 2012 is going to be a year to remember!!!!!!!

    • Hey Ma, since when are you blogging :). All joking aside I love what you had to say. I have an excitement in my spirit that is undescribable. I believe what you said, this is the year that I need to exercise my faith in order to see the miracles unfold in my life in their season. Amen! Also, so many are signing up to be part of the next cycle of Surrender 2012. We are looking forward to witnessing God’s mighty hand at work in our lives. Love ya!
