According to Gloria Tsang of Health Castle.com the monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats in the walnut–to be specific, the alpha-linolenic acid (an essential fatty acid found in flaxseed oil, canola oil and walnuts–is shown to lower the LDL (bad) cholesterol in the body.
Nuts can be added to any breakfast, lunch or dinner time meal and makes a healthy nutritional snack. Enjoy!
