Welcome to Week 4 of Cycle 4 of Surrender 2013!!! Theme: Enough is Enough!
*This week we are focusing on relationships not just any old relationships, but those ordained by God.
Do you know that there are people in your life that are inextricably tied to your destiny? According to Freedictionary.com inextricable means – so intricate or entangled as to make escape impossible.
That can be good or bad news. I guess it depends on the quality of your relationships. For those people you are in good relationship with you are all for entanglement. But when it comes to the more challenging relationships–you want out and you want out now!
However, there are some relationships, for better or for worse, you will need to stick with because they are crucial to the successful completion of your life’s call.
You can’t do it alone; no man is an island. So whether you like it or not, God has designed you to be in relationships and designed you to win in a community.
The scripture tells us as much.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NIV)
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
John Maxwell said, “Victory rarely comes without a team effort.” If you are going to succeed you NEED other people in your life. And not just those that you pick and choose.
Do you sense God’s call to move higher? That this place that you’re in can no longer contain your destiny (Marvin Sapp, Deeper)? Then it’s time to do something different; it’s time to accept God’s bigger plan. Then and only then will live God’s bigger dream for your life.
With God all things are possible,
