The Power of Prayer – a Simple Testimony of His Faithfulness

Yesterday I said a simple prayer and God answered it immediately.

It doesn’t always happen that way, but this time He did a suddenly thing.

As I was sitting at the table at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden’s Meet the Author Event, I reached under the table where my books were being housed and said this simple prayer: Lord bless me sell every book, I know you can do it.

Almost no sooner did I pray that prayer a young woman named Tanti came to the table to purchase 20 books. I was floored–God’s immediate response to my prayer surprised me! Then God continued to provide the increase; we sold all but *4 books yesterday. God is so faithful!

God is always listening and He always answers our prayers. Sometimes He answers immediately and other times there’s a delay. However, the prayer He doesn’t answer is the one that is not made. Sometimes we get so consumed by our need that we forget to pray, but I dare you to take a moment to pray and expect God to answer.

Jesus said in John 14:13-14, “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”

Pray and let me know how He answers!

With God all things are possible,

Register today for Surrender Your Void. This is a life-changing seminar designed to reveal those parts of our heart that are fed by sources other than God. They can satisfy for only so long, but on June 1 discover how to allow God to be your permanent satisfaction. Hope to see you there.

*Why He left 4 I don’t know, that is none of my business. LOL!

Yes ,he is faithful! I found out that he answers the simplest prayers….My lawnmower is broken, and my husband had been meaning to fix it, but due to rain and time constraints it just was not getting done. Meanwhile my grass grew up and was now approaching knee length height. I woke up this morning walked out of my home , looked at my grass and for a moment I started to complain, but instead I said Thank you God, and said a quick “Lord please let my grass be cut today!” Fastfoward to the afternoon, in the rain, the grounds crew cut my grass down to ankle height, again I just gave God the glory. Then after an hour when the sun came out, My neighbor came and cut it all the way down and proceeded to edgeup the grass that was hanging over onto my walkway! All Glory goes to God!

    • Hi Kristie, amazing testimony! I thought you were going to say that God allowed your mower to start…but someone else cutting the grass works too! 🙂 Isn’t it comforting to know that no request is too small for God? Thanks for sharing!
