The Benefits of Meditation

Hello Surrendered Heart,

Christian Meditation

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)

Christian meditation is a form of prayer in which a structured attempt is made to become aware of and reflect upon the revelations of God. The word meditation comes from the Latin word meditārī, which has a range of meanings including to reflect on, to study and to practice. Christian meditation is the process of deliberately focusing on specific thoughts (such as a bible passage) and reflecting on their meaning in the context of the love of God. Wikipedia

I personally like to meditate every morning. I sit upright up in a chair, take deep breaths (breathing in the breath of God) and repeat “I Am a Perfect Define Creation.” You can use whatever scripture or affirming words you like.

Mediation allows you to:

–Quiet your mind
–Come into a place of peace (mind, body and spirit)
–Become aware of the voice of God
–Become aware of who you are (who God created you to be; your true self)
–See God!

Here are 7 Health Benefits of Deep Relaxation:

So take a moment each day to meditate. By doing so you will learn who God says you are and you will no longer see yourself the way man has defined you!
