Welcome to Day 1 of the Surrender Fast! We are excited about what God will do in and for  you in the next 40 days.

The theme for this Cycle 9 is Divine Connections. Did you know that the number 9 symbolizes divine completeness and conveys the meaning of finality? And because this is Cycle 9 God is closing some chapters and moving you on to greater!

We started today with our Morning Prayer Call. If you missed the call you can access the recording HERE via the web or by phone:

Dial-back number: 530-881-1399

If you haven’t already be sure to register at to receive daily updates. Also see our website to connect with a DCOM Connector Group or connect with one of our various Surrender Partners. There is a group just right for you.

For Cycle 9 I am surrendering a 7 day work week. I work from home, so I am constantly working all day, every day. Not good. For that reason the Lord has instructed me to keep the Sabbath. So from sun down on Saturday to sun down on Sunday I am shutting it all down. No phone, no emails, no social media…just quality time with my family and the Lord.

What are you surrendering?

With God all things are possible,
Dr. Celeste

Thank you Dr. Owens, this is my second time participating in the surrender fast and although I think mentally I was better prepared last time around I know that I will be right where God would have me. I am surrendering personal time with God everyday (preferably in the morning) and my pride addiction. I look forward to seeing what God reveals in me once I fully surrender.

    • Chauna it doesn’t matter where you are mentally the important thing is that you have shown up with a “yes” in your heart, surrendering all to God. I can’t wait to here how He changes you and moves you this 2nd time around. Keep me posted!

I’m very excited about the Surrender Fast.
I am looking forward to God to move in me.
I surrender myself, my family, my business, I am giving up my sweet tea and cut back on my sweets intake.

  3. Hello Dr. Celeste, I am surrendering sugar, chips and sleep. I have been instructed to get up at 3:50am and intercede for others.

    • Wow what a call Natalie! Thank you for your sacrifice and for interceding for us. Great things are on the horizon for you. Eyes haven’t seen…

Greetings Dr. Celeste, and thank you and your Team for Cycle 9. I am surrendering my schudule, my health, my businesses, and doing things by myself. I like the finality of Cycle 9 because God has been preparing me from previous Cycles, and what I am surrendering now is actually the beginning of His purposes for me. I am totally excited!

Congratulations on what God has “in store” for you!!

    Peace and Love,

    • HI Krisann! I love the mindset you are in for Cycle 9. I can’t wait to read about the divine connections God sends you way in these 40 days.

Wow, Day 1, and God is already at it…lol! Expect the Unexpected–this fast is more about others and less of me.

I was orginally directed to Isaiah 58:8, 9, and I began with v6b “to loose the chains of injustice…to set the oppressed free…share my food with the hungry,” etc; v8, 9 ‘then my light will break forth like the dawn, then my healing will quickly appear, then my righteousness will go before me and the Glory of the Lord will be my rear guard, then I will call and the Lord will answer; I will cry for help, and He will say “Here I am.”‘ Hallelujah! Which all leads to Isaiah 55:8, 9 His thoughts! His ways!

The Holy Spirit is giving me confidence and is encouraging me as I continue my plans with Ms. Johnson’s Place; my summer school program. Aww so scary, and I’m praying to God and blessing my spirit for a team of people who have God in their hearts, and children on their minds…God will take it from there!

This is my theme song, my motivator (outside God…lol):

    Ooh-oo child
    Things are gonna get easier
    Ooh-oo child
    Things’ll get brighter
    Ooh-oo child
    Things are gonna get easier
    Ooh-oo child
    Things’ll get brighter
    Right now, right now

    Some day, yeah
We’ll get it together and we’ll get it all done
    Some day
When your head is much lighter
    Some day, yeah
We’ll walk in the rays of a beautiful sun
    Some day
When the world is much brighter

So looking forward to God’s direction!

    Peace and Love,
