Ways To Use Coconut Oil

Quick Tip Monday!!!

I wrote a blog awhile back about coconut oil and how great it is for just about anything you could think of.

I’m sure you’ve all heard about the many kitchen uses for this phenomenal oil.

In addition, it’s one of the few oils that doesn’t burn as high temperatures.

It’s also an oil known for its healthy benefits for both the inside and outside of the body.

You may be one that has purchased this oil and only use if for cooking.

Or you may be one who has purchased this oil and is not quite sure what to do with it.

Well pull that oil out and get ready to go wild over coconut oil.

Shaving Lotion – Shave and moisturize at the same time with this oil.

Facial/Body/Foot Scrub – Combine coconut oil and Himalayan salt, together and rub in an upward motion.

Note: An alternative for salt would be brown or white sugar.

Moisturizer – Instead of using  a body lotion with harsh chemicals, apply coconut oil directly after you shower instead for a natural radiant glow.

Makeup Remover – Apply oil and rub in a circular motion to remove makeup.

Lip Balm – I like to rub it on my lip for moisture and it’s healing properties. “Chapped Lips Be Gone!!!”

Massage Oil – It’s not overly greasy and it has a naturally relaxing scent.

Mom’s you can also use this cream to soothe the rash on your baby’s bottom or as a healing cream for those of you who are nursing.

Click here for a detailed list or other DIY’s for coconut oil.

It’s uses are endless.

  1. Cousin Sonya

Thanks Stephanie!!!! Great tips, I will share with my friends and co-workers.

  2. For pet owners, coconut oil does wonders for both dogs and recently found out for cats too. This past year I’ve been giving it to my crew, it’s good for their skin, coat and teeth as well. Some of the ladies on one of the Facebook Groups, I belong to, comment on this article about how clean the dogs teeth are. And I recalled how our vet says how white and clean their teeth are as well as their fur. Two of mine love it, all I have to do is get the container I keep it in, my 3rd, I mix it in his food. Oh I give them 1/4 teaspoon daily, it’s also based on their weight. Here’s the link if you would like to read more.

    • Hello Trinette,

Thank you for sharing and posting a link. I’m sure you’ve probably heard about oil pulling. That’s a great way for us to keep our teeth clean and white as well. Great job on what you’ve done for our furry friends.
