Just Say “NO” To “Distraction”

Good News Thursday!!!

To listen to this weeks song for meditation, Click on We Will Not Be Shaken by Brian Johnson

“For we trust in our God, And through His unfailing love, We will not be shaken.”

The moment you decide to surrender to God, through fasting, praying, reading your word, or just being more committed;

Instantly the devil rears his head, to make sure he does any and everything in his power to make sure that goal is never accomplished.

For a while I never could understand how is was that every time I began to draw closer to God I would instantly, get aggravated, annoyed and sometimes deviant.

I honestly started to believe that I was actually doing better before I started this spiritual journey. I felt more peace and more relaxed when I was doing absolutely nothing.

But that’s where the trick lied. It was in the absolutely nothing that the enemy actually felt more at peace.

There was no need for the enemy to attack me, because I was doing “Absolutely Nothing!” So I wasn’t a threat to him and he had no need to disturb my “Since of Peace.”

He rely’s on us to have that since of peace, so that he can continue to be destructive to world and everything in it.

He wants us to get lost in the madness of today so that we channel our energy towards something that will keep us from bombarding heaven with our prayers and thanksgiving.

“They’re Called DISTRACTIONS!!!”

He wants you to look at your Father as undesirable, someone who should not be trusted or relied  upon. He wants you to look at God and see him!

But God is not your enemy. He is with certainty the only true and living God.

He has your best interest at hand, and if you allow your eyes to not see through the lens of the world, then you will not be shaken or moved.

You will have a for God I live and for God I die mentality.

I plan on fighting!

What about you?

Have you noticed any distractions you may have picked up that God has allowed you to see is from the enemy? Please comment below and share your story.

I have experienced many things where there has been enemy activity but I have learned and continue to learn to rest in the Lord and to trust Him through all circumstances.

    • So true. The enemy never stops working. He lays low and keeps himself hidden as to make himself undetectable, while he works. That’s why we have to be vigilant.
