“My Coconut Oil”

Quick Tip Monday!!!

I’ve wrote at least a couple of blogs on the wonders of Coconut Oil, but what can I say I can’t get enough of it. It’s absolutely amazing!!! It seems that I’m continuously learning new ways to use this magnificent oil.

And as I learn I feel that I owe it to you guys to share.

So with that said, here’s some ways in which I love to use Coconut Oil.

Makeup Remover

While I’m preparing myself for the night, I will put my coconut oil in a bowl of warm/hot water to began the process of melting the oil and readying it for use. Coconut oil melts at 76 degrees fahrenheit so by the time I’m ready to use it, it’s just right.

I pour a little into my palm and began to massage the oil in an upward motion gently removing my make (water proof included) as well as rubbing a little on my lashes.

I’ve noticed since I’ve been doing this that my lashes feel more moisturized and looks longer.

Face Scrub

I also enjoy using this little beauty as a gentle scrub. I mix sugar and the oil together, and gently massage my skin with it for a fresh clean feel that it quite smooth and soft to the touch.

In addition I like to use coconut oil…

–In my DIY deep conditioners.

–For sealing the ends of my hair and keeping it moisturized.

–As a lip balm.

–As a lip scrub. (Same as the face scrub recipe)

–As a moisturizer for my face and skin.

–For oil pulling.

–For fixing squeaky doors.

–For massaging my cuticles.

–And of course for cooking.

It’s amazing how much use I can get out of this little gem. Along with saving money and avoiding all the chemicals found in most beauty products this oil can’t be beat.
