It’s that time again! Time to retreat and find “Rest.” In preparation for tomorrow I thought what better way to get excited and prepared then to reminisce about the experiences we had the prior year. Enjoy!
One word “Amazing” is what comes to mind when I think about the Surrender Healing Retreat this past weekend.
The moment we all walked into the conference room we knew that we were being met and welcomed by our Father!
It was not your usual church service, but it was a oneness that we could’ve never imagined with every heart ready to receive from God.
The stage was set.
That friday night began with both Men and Women coming together for worship and then we broke off into our group sessions.
We were all on one accord and nothing else mattered.
It was all Orchestrated by Dr. Celeste Owens, but it was quickly made apparent that God would be running the show.
We all came in with individual needs, and God met those needs above and beyond.
Through each speaker we were able to capture the heart of God, and understand that the love that He has for us goes beyond our finite reasoning.
We ended the night with a foot washing to cement this sacred occasion.
Individuals spoke of healing on that night.
On Saturday we were asked to write down what it was that was holding us back from our destiny’s.
We then took those cards with us as we made our journey to the burning pit ceremony and left those things on the altar.
We knew at that momentous moment that we were free and that nothing could/would stand in our way again.
On Sunday we got to experience and understand what it took for Christ to give His life for us.
No table was unturned. The message was raw and pure and I for one fell in love with Christ all over again.
After that colorful journey we were taken a little deeper, and were able to connect with God in an even more intimate way as we committed within ourselves to protect our spiritual gates. Eye, Nose, Ear, Mouth, and Feel Gates.
We ended that last session with communion. It was one of the most intentional communions I’ve ever taken. I felt connected, in awe, and in oneness with our Savior.
We all came in as distant relatives and left out as a Family with a firm and sure foundation.
Our strength was renewed and Our lives will never be the same.
We can depend wholly on God
Be be successful through Christ who strengthens Us!
