Good News Thursday!!!

There’s a child who is hungry.
There’s a mother who feels helpless.
There’s a Father who’s experiencing the difficulties of not being able to provide for his family.
In today’s world and with the economy being what it is, there are many people who are in need.
They need your prayers, your encouragement and your funding.
With there being so many opportunities and places to give, it can get overwhelming trying to figure out who to give to.
Well Here’s a thought……
Why not start with your community?
The Word of God says,
So what are some ways to give to those who are in need?
You can put aside gently used clothing, outerwear, footwear, toys or can goods and give them to your local church, shelter, or goodwill.
You could donate by way of monetary gifts, food, or toiletries to See One Feed One and help us serve the homeless in the Washington D.C area.
(See One, Feed One is a program of Surrender 365, Inc. which is the missions arm of Dr. Celeste Owens Ministries.)
Or why not pledge a one time amount or become a partner with Surrender 365 as we spread the philosophy of surrender around the world and help our brothers and sisters who are in need. For example, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to be a blessing to our sisters and brothers in Kenya, as they help to spread the word of surrender to each country in Africa. You can start a drive with your community or church by having a targeted family or group of people you wish to help.
- Someone who has lost everything due to some type of disaster, or unexpected layoff.
- A family may have just expanded their family and may be in need of diapers, clothing, food, etc.
There may be someone you know who’s sick and is in need of errands being ran, some shopping being done, or their house being cleaned.
You could also volunteer at a shelter or at your own church.
Join with Others
Sometimes it’s easier to join up with someone who’s experienced and thriving in a well operated program. They may be doing something you’ve always wanted to do or giving to somewhere that resonates with you.
These are just some ways to give.
You could also…..
Become a Philanthropist.
Start a Fundraiser.
Recognize those who serve.
Step up and ask where a need is.
You never realize how much you have until you become intentional about giving.
