Quick Tip Monday!!!
I just love the above quote!!!
As a matter of fact that’s exactly how I use to relieve all of my stressful days, but after that wonderful sugar high, I would normally crash and burn with a few additional unwanted calories to burn off.
Can you relate?
Well here’s 4 ways to relieve stress and combat the battle of the temporary high.
Just Say No to Social Media
Research has shown that most people spend around 16 hours a day consuming media, and that the use of smartphones increase stress.
Other research has shown that the more time spent on Facebook, the less happy you become.
Research suggest that you unplug, shut down, and log off for a day. And if you are one who’s thinking that’s impossible, then maybe it’s time to surrender it. (Just a thought)
Foods to Make You Happy
Eating certain foods can help you take charge of your stress levels.
–Dark Chocolate lowers your blood pressure.
–Omega-3 fatty acids such as avocados, tuna, salmon, and herring can relieve stress.
–Citrus fruits, because of the Vitamin C, has the power to lower stress. So eat, oranges, strawberries and grapefruit.
Research shows that moderate physical activity will help to relieve stress. So get out and play!
Get Some Meaningful Sleep
People who tend to feel more stressed are normally people who have had a restless night.
So skip the evening coffee, power down all your devices and prepare your room for sleep by closing the shades, and unplugging the night lights.
