Little Becomes Much

Good News Thursday!!!

To listen to this weeks song for meditation, Click on Have Your Way
(feat. Jason Nelson by Casey J)

Have you ever thought “What do I have to offer?”

I’m not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, athletic enough, and so on and so on.

I mean the flesh will always be able to come up with something to make you feel like nothing, to stop you dead in your tracks.

There will always be a “not enough” in your life that will try to hinder or completely stop you from fulfilling your destiny.

When it dawned on the disciples that the people had to be hungry from sitting and listening to Jesus the whole day;

They came to Jesus and said, “Send the people away so that they can go buy food and eat.”

But Jesus said to the disciples, “You feed them.”

They were obviously not expecting that response, as they replied “With What?”

“We’d have to work months to earn enough money to buy food for all these people!”

You could tell by the response that the disciples probably felt overwhelmed.

And when we’re overwhelmed by something the first thing that usually appears is fear followed by anger.

Fear because we don’t feel at all qualified, and anger because we can’t believe that we would be asked to do something we don’t feel adequate enough to do.

But the Word of God says,

So in essence what He was saying to the disciples when He said “You feed them”

was, that although they didn’t know it, they had more then they realized they had to sustain the crowd.

In their obedience they presented two fish and five loaves of bread.

Jesus took what they had, and then He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and fed the multitude.

What He was saying to the disciples back then is what He’s still saying to each and everyone of us today;

And that is, what He has placed inside of us from the beginning of our conception until the time of our natural death, is more then enough to accomplish that which He is calling us to.

It may not seem like you can get the job done and that would be correct, “You Can’t.”

But relying solely on God and allowing Him to infuse you with His power will bring out things in you that you’ve never imagined.

“You are more then capable.”

“You have been equipped.”

” And you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.”

So, bring what you have, offer it to God and feed the multitude.
