The Word of God says… Trust is the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
On paper trusting in God can seem easy, but when putting trust into action it can become downright one of the hardest things you’ve ever done.
What makes it so hard?
I mean we know that God knows our path and He knows what’s best for us. So what makes it so difficult?
Could it be that even though we’ve heard about, read about and maybe even said it ourselves, we just can’t bring ourselves to believe it for our situation?
To me it has always seemed easier to believe for someone else, but when it came to me, not so easy.
I would say I know He could do it if He wanted to , but I never could quite grasped the fact that He wanted to do it for me.
Then it dawned on me that maybe I’ve always known that He could do it for me but It wouldn’t be the way I would want it to be done and it certainly wouldn’t be easy. (My kind of easy)
Then I had to realize that if that was what I was thinking then I had to come to terms with the fact that I just didn’t want to go through a process. I just wanted to go from hear to there without preparation.
But the truth is there is no job that will hire you without training. Rather it be in a classroom setting or on the job training, you have to go through some type of process to be prepared for the job in which you’re applying for.
So why should we think it to be any different when God is wanting to place us somewhere or wanting to qualify us for a position we do not qualify for?
At the end of the day we can either go through a process for a corporate job or we can go through a process for a ministry job. It’s up to you to decide.
God is calling you and I but it’s up to us to trust and believe God enough to endure the process.
Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:6
