What Makes You Thankful?

Good News Thursday!!!

Giving thanks on today is particularly special for most because It’s Thanksgiving.

And not only because it’s Thanksgiving, but because it’s also a time when

family and friends come together near and far to celebrate this joyous occasion and to be thankful for one another.

Not to mention the turkey, dressing, macaroni and cheese, greens, green beans, yams, potato salad, rolls and you dare not forget cranberry sauce.

Then top that all off with desserts and what’s not to be thankful for?

But during this Thanksgiving day, let us remember to take the time out to

think about those who may find today a little challenging to be thankful and grateful.

Those who may be experiencing the loss of a loved one(s), those that are homeless, incarcerated,

the widowed, the sick and shut-in, those that have been hospitalized, and

those that have sacrificed themselves to protect our lives and this country.

If possible, take the time to show some love.

Send a card, a care package, make a phone call, send a text, or stop by with a plate of food to show that you care.

You’d be amazed by how excited someone can get when you take the time

to show them that they are important and loved.

They will truly cherish it.

Lastly (Drum roll!!!……………………..)

Don’t forget to be thankful for our creator and the fact that He sent His

only Son to die for us so that we could have life and that more abundantly.

Without God, none of this would even be possible.

So thanking Him should be an honor.

With so much going on in the world today it may not always seem possible to be thankful for our fellow man,

those that are intent on destroying us through the workings of the enemy;

but today, take the time to say a prayer for those who hate us and willfully

want to destroy Christians, America, and everything that it truly stands for.

God is truly still in control, so we have no need to give up, be fearful, hateful, or without hope.

I Hope your day is filled with joy, peace, and laughter!
