When inflammation is processed in the body correctly, we are healed, healthy and whole. But when it begins to dominate the body in ways it shouldn’t the results are devastating. Instead of it healing the body you may notice constant pain and irritation not to mention possible obesity, heart disease, arthritis and cancer.

Looking to reduce inflammation in your body and not sure exactly where to start?

Well here’s a list of ways to get you on the right track:

Eat Protein at Every Meal – foods such as chicken, fish, eggs, and low-fat dairy helps with detoxifying the liver.

Drink Green Tea – Catechins is a substance in green tea that helps detoxifies the body. 3 cups is preferred, but even drinking one cup is good. Stick with the organic kind if possible.

The Benefits Of Black Tea

Quick fact: after water tea is the most consumed beverage in the world.

I hear you…no…this is another article on the benefits of green tea.

Well, it was going to be until my husband went to the store and picked up a box of black tea instead of green tea which, in turn, put me in a mad scramble to learn if there were any benefits to these ostracized leaves.

After some research I thanked my husband for going against the grain and getting something that would soon become a staple in my health, hair and skin regimen.

The Benefits of Black Tea… as it Relates to Health

Black tea can help control or even prevent diabetes: 

  • Black tea has a significant amount of polysaccharides (carbohydrates) that work to decrease blood sugar absorption.
  • Research shows that countries which drink greater amounts of black tea have the smallest occurrence of Type 2 Diabetes.
