Strawberry Season!

Oh how I love that beautiful little red heart shaped fruit.

It’s sweet and delicious to the taste.

And it’s packed with multiple minerals and vitamins such as copper, potassium, biotin, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamin B6, and omega-3 fatty acids.

They’re not only savory and fun to eat but they’re also packed with multiple benefits.

It’s Time To Sweat!

You may not be aware of this little fact, but we’re born with quite a few sweat glands–2 to 4 million sweat glands to be exact.

Now depending on how many sweat glands you’re born with will determine how much you sweat. Women tend to have more sweat glands then men; but men tend to be more active then women resulting in more sweat produced.

Some think of sweat as a huge inconvenience; sweating during exercise is one thing, but sweating when you’re anxious, embarrassed, angry, or scared is another thing all together.

Some people despise sweat so much they are willing to to be injected under their arms with botox. Ouch!

Okay, okay it’s true–sweat is not very popular, yet it is important and quite beneficial. So are you ready? Then, Let’s get ready to…….Sweat!!!

When I would think of Avocados, the first thing that would come to mind is that green yucky looking thing that’s forever trying to take the place of Salsa.

But then I was introduced to these little pear shaped fruits and discovered that they were way more then just a party side dish.

These little beauties are packed with Vitamins A, D, E and K.

And are a good source of fiber.

Dry Brush Your Way To Good Health

In a previous blog I wrote about the benefits of dry brushing and I thought I would share again the reason why dry brushing could be beneficial for your overall health.

I recently injured my back, and I started experiencing some numbness in my legs. At first I thought that maybe my potassium levels were low, but then it came to  me that my blood wasn’t circulating as well as should be. I instantly went in search of my dry brush. I picked it up and begin to massage my legs in an upward motion towards my heart and instantly the numbness went away and I was able to get some rest.

Anti Antiperspirant

Quick Tip Monday!!!

You’re out of the house for the day, at work, running errands, or just enjoying the beautiful creation that God has made. Half way through the day you remember you’ve forgotten something……deodorant! Immediately panic kicks in and that tell-tell tingling sensation under the arms and perspiration begins.

BUT DON’T PANIC, SWEAT IS NECESSARY!

Sweat is just the body’s way of regulating its temperature. Thankfully, sweat itself is odorless, it’s the bacteria under the arm and in other places where hair is present that causes the body odor.

Armed with this knowledge maybe you’ll think twice before picking up a bottle of antiperspirant deodorant.
