Judge You’re Not!

Happy Thursday!!!

To listen to this weeks song for meditation, Click on Unchurched by Todd Dulaney

Why is it that we’re so quick to judge others.

Are we naturally conditioned to do so due to our religious backgrounds or home upbringing?

Why is it so easy to find the bad vs. the good in others?

Is it due to our own insecurities that keep us from uplifting others?

I personally think that it could be a little of all the above.

I also believe that due to us not knowing fully the magnitude of God’s love toward us it’s easy for us to believe that God himself couldn’t be completely nonjudgmental.

Start by Walking!

Image result for the health benefits of walking

Quick Tip Monday!!!

Nowadays doesn’t it seem like everything that’s good for you cost money? Well have I got a freebie for you!

Look out the window and just begin to daydream about the fresh breeze of air against your skin, your feet hitting the pavement and glowing beads of sweat lightly grazing your brow bone?

What are you doing,  you ask? You’re walking!

Now refocus and actually step outside. Your daydream has just become your reality with loads of potential and advantages.

You Will Find Him if You Seek Him

Good News Thursday!!!

To listen to this weeks song for meditation, Click on Fill Me Up by Casey J

Now is the time to seek the Lord. With so many things going on in the world today–random terrorist attacks, senseless killings, suicides, job loss, depression, hearts being deceived–people becoming more and more desensitized to the needs and well being of others.

And why is that?

I believe it’s because we’ve become so overwhelmed with what we SEE and how we FEEL about what we see, that we’ve taken our focus off of God and the Word and taken matters into our own hands. The result? Messed up lives. Continue reading

Standing On His Promises

Good News Thursday!!!

Maybe you’re waiting on, or in the process of waiting on God.

How’s it going?

Are you feeling victorious, lost, apprehensive?

Or maybe a little in between?

During this time of waiting it’s imperative that you get into a place where you can be silent.

Because it will take silence, perseverance, and determination to surrender your will for God’s will.

Let’s Deep Conditions!

IMG_1946.PNG

Quick Tip Monday!!!

The Fall season is in full bloom and Winter is just around the corner. Now is the time to make sure your hair regimen is weatherproof.

Lately, I’ve been hearing from quite a few women that they are neglecting to receive all the benefits that come from deep conditioning.

In other words, they don’t bother to deep condition.

by nature, natural hair is prone to dryness due to the fact that the natural oil in our hair takes longer to travel down the locks of our hair because it’s curly.

So in order for us to ensure that we are receiving an adequate amount of moisture, it’s up to us to put that back into our strands.

One of the best ways to do that is by Deep Conditioning.

Hair that is deep conditioned regularly is likely to be more manageable, softer, less prone to breakage and frizz, and is able to retain length.

Journey with God

Good News Thursday!!!

I Need Thee, Oh, I Need Thee;
 Every Hour I Need Thee;
Oh, Bless Me Now, My Savior,
I Come To Thee.

That song now rings fresh in my mind.

It’s a clear reminder from my soul that I should never forget what’s most important as I take this journey on this narrow road.

Surrendering to God’s will can sometimes be challenging because of the flesh. The flesh refuses to submit; therefore making it easy to feel the need to give up and just surrender to self.

But I know that if I just hold on and flee the flesh’s will then I’ll be able to submit and become one with God’s will.

It’s Time To Sweat!

Quick Tip Monday!!!

You may not be aware of this little fact, but we’re born with quite a few sweat glands–2 to 4 million sweat glands to be exact.

Now depending on how many sweat glands you’re born with will determine how much you sweat. Women tend to have more sweat glands then men; but men tend to be more active then women resulting in more sweat produced.

Some think of sweat as a huge inconvenience; sweating during exercise is one thing, but sweating when you’re anxious, embarrassed, angry, or scared is another thing all together.

Some people despise sweat so much they are willing to to be injected under their arms with botox. Ouch!

Okay, okay it’s true–sweat is not very popular, yet it is important and quite beneficial. So are you ready? Then, Let’s get ready to…….Sweat!!!

The Power of Aloe Vera

Quick Tip Monday!!!

Lets talk Aloe Vera!

Aloe Vera is a succulent plant that grows wild in tropical climates.

It originated in the dry climates of Africa.

And has been used for centuries for its healing properties.

One way I like to use Aloe Vera is as a sealant for my hair. It helps lock in the moisture and gives your hair a brilliant shine.

It’s also known to aid the hair in growth.

I’m just thinking about the word “Grace.”

What that word really means, and if I allow myself to extend grace to others according to the true definition of that word.

G-R-A-C-E

God’s Grace.

His “Unmerited Favor.”

He allows us to receive it, even though we don’t deserve it.
